Santa Fe Public Schools is open and following its regular schedule. School buses are also operating under their normal schedule. Area roads were not snow-packed this morning, which informed our decision to open schools. The district does not release students early on snow days once they're in school as there's no guarantee that someone will be at the student's home when they arrive. Parents can decide to keep their children home due to safety concerns. District staff is working at each school site to clear snow and prep the school grounds. Roads are also being cleared by city crews.

School will resume two hours after your normal start time today. Please ensure your student(s) are not dropped off before the delayed start as staff will not be on campus.
Out of an abundance of caution, due to snow and icy road conditions and freezing temperatures developing overnight in several parts of the district, Santa Fe Public Schools will start Friday, December 1st on a two-hour delay. We will continue to assess road conditions and update with any changes by 7 AM.
Due to worsening road conditions across the District that would prohibit the safe transportation of students to school, all schools will be closed. This is not a remote learning day. All after-school and evening activities are canceled.
Due to snow and unsafe driving conditions in some parts of the district, all schools will be on a 2-hour delay today, November 30th, 2023, to provide additional time for buses to safely transport students to schools. This means that buses will run 2 hours later than during normal times. If you drop your child off at school, please remember that staff will also be on a two-hour delay. Full-day Pre-K programs are also on a two-hour delay. Morning Pre-K programs have been canceled. Afternoon Pre-K programs will operate on a regular schedule.
