SFPS is seeking your opinion on whether to continue with masks in the public schools. Yesterday, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham lifted the mask mandate, effective immediately, and made continued masking in the schools a local decision. Your voice matters! Please respond to the survey by noon on Sunday, February 20th. We will inform our school community on Monday regarding masking.

Due to snow packed roads and icy conditions in some parts of the District that would prohibit the safe transportation of students to school, all school sites are CLOSED. Students in grades 9-12 will be in remote synchronous learning today. Grades K-8, please contact your child’s teacher(s) regarding parent-teacher conferences.
All district staff should report as soon as it is safe to do so.

Due to deteriorating conditions across the District, all schools are on a 2-hour delay tomorrow (February 3rd) to provide additional time for buses to safely transport students to schools. This means that buses will run 2 hours later than during normal times. If you drop your child off at school, please remember that staff will also be on a two-hour delay. Full day Pre-K programs are also on a two hour delay. AM Pre-K programs have been canceled. PM Pre-K programs will operate on a regular schedule.
We will continue to assess conditions through the night and will send another update at 7 a.m.
